About Me

I am a graduate mechanical engineer from the University of Twente, knowledgeable in subjects such as mechanics of materials, machining elements, materials science and have understanding of the modelling program SolidWorks as well as the Non-Linear Finite Element Analysis Software MARC Mentat. A personal goal of mine is learning dutch to be able to communicate better with colleagues and dutch people in general to create a more profound connection and relation with them.

My mission is to live a life that satisfies my instinct of curiosity and constant learning about what makes me feel passionate the most, such as engineering, technology, materials sciences, art and personal growth.

My vision is to contribute to meaningful projects that have an impact on people's lifes and to use engineering as a tool for creating a new future.

Projects

Projects

01

Design of a Mechanical Tool

During this project, I participated in the creation of SolidWorks model and I gained a deeper understanding about the program than the one I acquired during lectures.
This knowledge has been useful during the following projects.
02

Redesign of a Power Transmission Shaft for Mining Equipment

This project is the one I have learn the most, as for various situations I needed to repeat it, and do acquired an even deeper knowledge about gearboxes and power transmission between various machine elements
03

Redesign of a Bugaboo Stroller

I designed a transformable baseplate that can provide a better customer experience and that lowers the costs of manufacturing for a Stroller company.
04

Design of a ventilation system for a high-speed train cabin

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the way we live has been affected and in this project we propose a design that will take droplet emission and spreading in a train cabin into consideration. My work focused on the mathematical, fluid mechanics perspective. However, I also contributed with knowledge related to heat transmission of the train cabin with respect to the outside.
04

Mechatronic Design

The design of a mechatronic device is a project carried during the second year of the Bachelor's program at the University of Twente. It involves the knowledge of both, mechanical vibrations and systems and control. During this project the characteristics of high precision mechanisms were learnt as well as the implementation and discretization of a feedback controller.
04

Development of a more Environmentally Friendly Rubber Characterisation Method

By personal choice this was a research focused module, in which I analysed the current method used to characterise rubber by the ETE group at the University of Twente, and proposed a more efficient and environmentall friendly alternative.
04

Non-Linear Finite Element Analysis of an Adhesive

My thesis assignment was a collaboration with the company Sensata Technologies focused on the NLFEA of an adhesive that attaches the wire of a sensor of an exhaust system to its housing.
The software MARC Mentat was used.
